I am delighted to announce that we have recently welcomed Fouzia Choukairi to Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. Fouzia is a fantastic surgeon and we are excited to have her as a part of the team. She has worked closely alongside Douglas in APS for many years and so the natural next step was for her to become a partner.
About Fouzia
Fouzia Choukairi is a fully qualified, British trained, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive Hand and Aesthetic Surgeon. She currently holds a substantive Consultant position at the University Hospital of South Manchester, after being appointed in 2020; she works in general plastic surgery, with interests in hand and lower limb trauma and complex gynaecological reconstruction, following cancer surgery.
Career history
Fouzia completed her medical degree and basic surgical training before advancing to specialist plastic surgery training. She completed this at centres of excellence in the West Midlands and Northwest regions.
Additionally, Fouzia has completed her FRCS(Plast) and is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. She also holds the European Diploma of Hand Surgery.
Another passion for Fouzia Choukairi is teaching and training. In fact, she is a visiting Professor of Surgery at the International Medical School in Casablanca, regularly contributing to the medical literature.
She has always had a specific interest in aesthetic plastic surgery and has undergone aesthetic fellowships, earning valuable expertise, and being trained by and operating with nationally recognised surgeons.
A unique and sensitive approach to female care
Fouzia takes a unique and sensitive approach to female care. As a female plastic surgeon in a largely male-dominated industry, she is able to offer a valuable female perspective. She believes that every patient is unique and she approaches them all differently. Fouzia offers individualised counselling and treatment pathways, with a focus on patient safety, exceptional results and positive patient outcomes.
